ABOUT THE ACADEMY

A serious learning system for photographers.

Not a collection of disconnected tutorials. The Academy is designed as a progression: learn the principle, make a decision, practise it under constraints, then prove that you can apply it.

THE SYSTEM

Three areas. Three different jobs.

The site deliberately separates learning, testing and practical work. A visitor should never have to search through an exam page for a lesson or through a practice page for a course.

01

Courses

The teaching library. Each course contains its own topic sequence and learning articles. No MCQ exam or practical assignment is embedded in the course library.

Exams

The online knowledge-check area. Visitors choose a published course exam, answer MCQs online, submit and see their score and explanations.

Practice

The field-work area. Visitors choose practical assignments, follow the brief, produce the required evidence and compare their work with the standards.

FROM BEGINNER TO PROFESSIONAL

Photography is a decision-making skill.

The Academy treats camera operation, exposure, focus, optics, light, composition, colour, workflow and professional practice as connected skills. A setting matters only when the learner understands the visual or technical consequence it creates.

Assessment is part of the curriculum.

Practice and exams are not decorative pages. They are meant to sit beside the lessons: practical work checks performance, scenarios test judgement, and online MCQs check knowledge and application.

What the Academy should become.

The long-term system is designed around learner accounts, saved progress, exam attempts, practical submissions, results and certification. The public version should expose only features that are actually wired to the database and tested end to end.
